1. Difficulties in sealing detection of Amphenol connectors
1. The connector to be tested this time has an overall irregular shape. The front of the connector is the part that contacts the charging port, and there are three wires at the back. There is no obvious air outlet. Its tightness needs to be considered during testing;
2. The connector has a high degree of precision, and the wire at the rear end makes it impossible to perform an overall fixed inspection during inspection, which is disadvantageous for direct inspection. It is impossible to judge the sealing of the connector through the gas leakage value.
2. Demonstration of the sealing testing process of Amphenol connectors
1. Based on the shape of the Amphenol connector, Hirays specially customized a special mold. The entire mold is cast according to the overall shape of the connector. After the connector is put in, it snaps just right. The rear-end butt wire is placed in the groove behind the mold, so that a closed space can be formed by closing the upper and lower molds during inspection;

2. Put the connector into the tooling mold and connect it to our instrument. There is a valve island, gas tank and other components inside the instrument as well as the program we have set. After the connection is made, press the start button.At this time, the upper and lower molds begin to close, and clean gas without impurities is filled into the mold. The instrument display screen will judge the sealing degree of the control box based on the gas saturation inside the mold.

3. If the connector is not sealed and air leakage occurs, the leakage value displayed in the instrument will become larger and larger, and the pressure value will decrease at the same time.At this time, it can be determined whether the charging gun control box is leaking, and the instrument test result will also show NG, which means the air tightness test failed.If the tested connector does not leak, the gas in the tooling mold will be in a constant state after inflation, and the pressure value and leakage value displayed on the instrument will also be stable. The instrument test result will display OK, indicating that the sealing test has passed.
